Join the experiment in functioning democracy.

OpenGovernment.Law does not merely advocate for transparent government. We test whether its legal mechanisms actually work, help repair them when they do not, and turn the resulting public processes into classrooms where Americans can learn how their government works by participating in it.

Joining means becoming part of that experiment. We believe meaningful reform of governance can begin with something surprisingly modest: making the democratic processes already promised by law actually function—and inviting people back into them.
