OpenGovernment.Law does not sell, rent, trade, publish, or give personal information to another organization for marketing, fundraising, list-building, or unrelated purposes. Limited service providers may process information only as needed to operate the program, and information may be disclosed when legally required.
Email updates require a separate opt-in.
Joining the association, supporting a compliance action, or applying to become an auditor does not automatically subscribe anyone to general email updates. Updates are sent only when the separate optional box is checked, and consent may be withdrawn at any time.
Form operation
When the secure submission service is online, accepted forms are recorded in the program database. If that service is unavailable, the site may preserve a local recovery copy in the current browser and clearly state that it has not been submitted.
Sensitive information
Do not submit confidential evidence, passwords, privileged legal material, or other sensitive information through public forms unless a controlled channel expressly requests it.
Historical investigation intake
OpenGovernment.Law no longer operates public complaint intake. Historical intake records and backend lineage remain private and are retained only for continuity, administration, and legal obligations. Submission through any public page does not create legal representation or stop any deadline.
